The tyre can also be cut to enhance its performance on muddy and very loose surfaces if required.

The Riponian Stages Rally 2009 in a Peugeot 205 1.9 in dry conditions. We used medium compound with one cut around the middle on the front and soft with no cuts on the rear. The tyres worked really well when they got warmed up but the stages were really short so next time I would use soft all round with no cuts. The rally was mostly hard packed and not abrasive so wear rate was quite low. I used 6 tyres on the car and they are still good and could still be sold on
